Arquà
Petrarca: a small town in the province of
Padua located in the Euganean Hills.
The landscape of the town is still as quaint and
pleasant as Petrarca saw it. The poet liked it so much
that he decided to move there in 1369. The poet lived in
this serene town during the final years of his life and
was also buried there. Nowadays, his house and his study
room can still be visited. The archeological finds show
evidence of a site lived in Roman times. The current
aspect of the town and its serene atmosphere
still look like as they were at Petrarca’s times.

Giotto), Saint Anthony’s Church (where the saint relics
